Research on the Characteristics of Innovation-Driven Efficiency in Fujian Province Based on DEA-Malmquist

Abstract

Based on the input and output panel data on innovation in nine prefectures and cities in Fujian Province from 2010 to 2018, the DEA-Malmquist index method was used to empirically analyze the state and efficiency change of innovation-driven efficiency in various cities. The results show that technological progress is a significant factor that promotes innovation-driven efficiency growth in Fujian Province, and technological efficiency only plays a supporting role; innovation efficiency progress varies from city to city, and there are significant differences between regions. Finally, based on the research results, several suggestions for improving the innovation-driven efficiency of Fujian are put forward.
