On the Causes of Juvenile Delinquency and Preventive Countermeasures in China

Abstract

Improving the defense system of juvenile crime is of far-reaching significance for alleviating the current serious juvenile crimes in China and establishing a long-term mechanism for juvenile crime prevention. This paper uses different research methods, including literature analysis, empirical analysis and normative legal analysis, in order to analyze the causes of juvenile delinquency by the trends and existing legislation of juvenile delinquency in China, and proposes the optimization and improvement of the prevention system. The countermeasures include: forming a special trial mode for juvenile crime cases, determining the scope of criminal punishment for juvenile criminal cases, introducing a criminal reconciliation system for minors, and gradually establishing special juvenile crime legislation and judicial prevention rule of law system.
