An Analysis of Causes and Countermeasures of College Students’ Cheating in Examinations Based on Economics

Abstract


As a method of knowledge level assessment, examinations require strict disciplines and any cheating is absolutely prohibited. However, with the expansion of college enrollment in recent years, there has been an upward trend in the number of college students cheating in exams, leading to a series of harm to schools as well as to students. It is an urgent problem which needs to be solved. From two aspects of economics and game theory, this paper tries to analyze the reasons for college students’ cheating in exams and to make the corresponding countermeasures.
