Technology for Improving Antenna Performance Based on Silicon Lens and Cylindrical Substrate
Abstract
A technology to improve the performance of the photoconductive terahertz antenna was proposed in this paper. The optimal selection of the size, shape, feed waveguide, and diameter of the silicon lens of the patch antenna will greatly increase the gain of the antenna. By using the FR4_epoxy as cylindrical substrate in the antenna and Si lens in the top of the antenna we imporove the gain of the terahertz antenna from 1.48dBi to 8.68dBi, which has been greatly improved.
