Research on the Comprehensive Financial Competitiveness of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Region Based on Principal Component Analysis

Abstract

The economic development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei region has been closely watched by the party and the state. This paper collects and collects the panel data of 55 A shares listed companies of Shanghai and Shenzhen two cities in Tai'an database of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province, and uses SPSS software to carry out the principal component analysis, and extracts the four main components of profitability, solvency, operating ability and growth ability through the reduction of dimension. And built the regression equation of financial competitiveness, calculated the total score, and finally sorted. The results show that the comprehensive financial competitiveness of enterprises with strong profitability is not necessarily strong; the development of enterprises in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei is not balanced between profitability, solvency, operating ability and growth ability; the core competitiveness of different enterprises in this region is different. In order to improve the comprehensive financial competitiveness of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, we should not only pay attention to the profitability and the development of other capabilities on the basis of the original core competitiveness.
