Review of Wildscape as a Tool of Urban Sustainability from the Vision of Landscape Architecture

Abstract

Wilderness is the precious and fragile natural resources in the city with prominent ecological value, social value, historical value and aesthetic value, notably owns the potential to become a tool for urban sustainable development. In this paper, the origin and development of wilderness, the close relationship between human civilization and wilderness, the characteristics and irreplaceable value of wilderness resources in urban environment are discussed.
