Study on TiO2 Coated Y3Al5O12: Ce3+ Phosphor

Abstract


In this paper,a sol-gel method using tetrabutyltitanate as titanium source was adopted to coat a TiO2layer on the surface of Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ (YAG) phosphor. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to analyze the phase and surface morphology of the phosphor. XRD and SEM analysis showed that the surface of YAG phosphor was successfully coated by TiO2.
