Abstract

At present in China, the occurrence frequency of haze increases every year. The air quality reached severe pollution situation in more than 20 provinces and 100 cities. The pollutants from motor vehicles in cities are the main contributor to haze, while the speed and flow of motor vehicles are the main factors affecting the pollutants in small range. In this paper, the author presents a design method for low power and low data vehicle detection system used in intelligent city monitoring, which replaces the existing intelligent measurement and detection device. The innovation point is to reduce the amount of information and reduce the energy consumption of information collection on the basis of providing the same amount of information. The low power consumption vehicle detection system presented in this paper is 2 orders of magnitude lower in power consumption compared with the traditional detection system; compared with the video detection system, the amount of data is 3 orders of magnitude lower.
